Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You'll need to pay your first month's rent and your security deposit to secure your lease. Please confirm the amounts with our team.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will schedule your move-in and initial inspection at the lease signing.

Utilities

All utility accounts need to be placed in your name immediately following the lease signing. Be sure to handle this promptly to avoid losing access to your utilities.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your rental home? Refer to the terms outlined in your lease; you'll need to provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate the premises, giving us the time to begin preparing for a new tenant.

Property Condition

Before handing your keys, you'll need to take care of the following:

Rental Cleaning: Start by decluttering and packing your belongings. Then, tackle each room systematically, starting from the top down. Dust ceilings, light fixtures, and surfaces. Wipe down walls, baseboards, and switches. Clean windows, mirrors, and appliances, including inside the oven and refrigerator. Scrub bathrooms thoroughly, including tiles and grout. Vacuum carpets and mop floors. Finally, perform a walkthrough to ensure everything is spotless, addressing any missed spots promptly.

Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If your rental home has outdoor spaces, be sure to take care of any landscaping, cleaning, or other relevant upkeep before moving out.

Repairs: If any damage occurred during your stay, please make the necessary repairs to bring the property back to rent-ready condition. This includes patching nail and screw holes, replacing any broken glass, and repainting stained walls.

Security Deposit

We will perform a final inspection after you move out; if we identify any damage, we will schedule repair visits and use the deposit to cover the associated costs. Your deposit may also be used to cover any unpaid fees on your property. The remainder will be returned to you, along with an itemized statement.

Remember, you cannot use the deposit to pay your final rent payment. Failure to pay your rent may result in adverse credit reporting and legal action.
